The story of Lord Ganesha

The story about Lord Ganesha's life was started from Satyug and found in the popular Hindu mythological story Shiv Purana.

According to a story, once goddess Parvati wants to take a bath. Before going to the cave, she saw there was not any guard to stop any person from entering the cave. So she decided to create an image of a boy. She made an image of a boy with turmeric and sand, and then she gave him her own divine power. By this way, Lord Ganesha was born to help his mother Parvati.

Firstly, Goddess Parvati ordered him to provide her security and don't let anyone enter the cave while she was bathing; he said yes and started doing his job. After some time, Lord Shiva came. Both Ganesha and Shiva are unknown to each other. Lord Shiva told him that he wanted to meet Parvati, but Lord Ganesha stopped him from entering the cave. Lord Shiva gets angry and decides to fight with Ganesha. The fight started, both beating each other. At a moment, Lord Shiva used his Trishul and removed Lord Ganesha's head from his body. Suddenly Devi Parvati comes and starts crying after seeing her son's lifeless body. She told Lord Shiva that he is our son, and after Lord Shiva knew that he killed his son, he assumed that he had made a big mistake. Then Parvati told him to bring a new face to Ganesha's body and give him a new life. Then Lord Shiva told his team to go and find a person who agreed to give his head, and then an elephant agreed to give his head to Lord Ganesha. From there, Lord Ganesha got his elephant head.
