Firstly, clean every portion of your home properly before the arrival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Wake up early in the morning on every day till the celebrations last. Take the bath before sunrise on Ganesh Chaturthi day. Each member should share his duties for the puja. Here are some steps on how pooja can be done:
Step 1. Bringing up all the essentials
Firstly, purchase all the materials required for pooja rituals, and also buy a ganesdh ji idol; it can be a picture or a statue made up of clay. You have to use an idol that is not reusable. because murti visarjan is a must in Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. You can also make an idol with the help of your family members yourself. There are many markets that sell idols, so you can buy one from there. Every year, so many people do the celebrations with a new idol so they get blessings of Lord Ganesha.
Step 2. Mandap for Pooja
Make a mandap in your house near puja ghar or in an empty hall. Mandap is usually a decorated place for murti sthapana. Draw a rangoli in front of the mandap and use flowers daily to decorate it. Spread a good-looking designer piece of cloth on it. and then first place God's idol in it, then do kalash sthapana.
Step 3. Ganesh Puja
Firstly, light a lamp with desi ghee in front of supreme divinity. Light agarbatti and dhoopbatti, and then all family members get assembled in front of Mandap. Sandal paste, kumkum, clothing, ornaments, flowers, and garlands can be used to decorate the Goods idol.
